As a Professional Fire Fighter & Property Owner, I think that Mr. Hook has given all of us in the Fire Service a BLACK EYE. I surely would not want him in one of my buildings or on my properties, Much less responding(driving) in Fire apparatus through my town. If the Washington Township allows them to keep there contract, I hope that they also accept the LIABILITY!.

Ghost, NOT FAIR! I have been in the fire service 23 years, and NEVER have was I retarded enough to respond to a call drunk, especially in the fire truck. It sounds like this guy belongs in jail not at the fire station. From what I have read on the net it seems that the state needs to come in and shut this whole department down, They (from my readings) are nothing but a buch of law breaking rednecks. I am sure that the city they represent deserves BETTER!

And the state still let this guy operate on the Fire Dept? Whats wrong with the Goverment in the state of Indiana? I agree with the other postings, throw the Closed sign up, and get some REAL Firefighters in there! it also sounds like a time for a recal of the elected officials....

This guy needs to go to jail, let the public know that No One is above the law......Drinking and Driving is AGAINST THE LAW. It is a good thing that the city cop upheld the law....He just saved someones life from a DRUNK!

you dont even know what you all are talking about. the chief was not arreseted for drug charges so get the facts strait. Well, it appears that Mr. Hicks (if that is who Really posted the above) can't even spell, its "Straight" NOT "strait" OMG I hope you are not the one that the people in Milton depend on. And in doing a search of "Mr." (I won't use the term Chief as it would be an insult to all the good Fire Chiefs on our country) Hicks and in doing so I DID find that he was arrested,charged and had his certificates REVOKED and if he is still the person in charge if that department I feel for the residents. And I agree as those above that Mr Hook should be charged as a criminal as he would know better, and should do time as well as being BANNED from the the Fire Service. "IF" Mr. Hicks cared anything about the Communitys safety and the department moral he would dismiss Mr. Hook.

Since I have 11 years of serving the area, I must agree that Hook needs to go and the milton vfd is a dinosaur it is time for them to go to, another great professional fire department covers all there ems calls and they do nothing, they are a black eye to all of us professional fire departments.
